As the cost of living continues to rise, many families are feeling the pinch and may be concerned about an expensive May half term. But eating out does not have to be as pricey as you might think this half term as some restaurants and cafes are offering deals that mean your kids eat for free, or for just £1.
From supermarket cafes to restaurant chains, many places in Wales have special deals, so we have taken a look at where you can eat out without breaking the bank. Supermarket chain Morrisons is offering children a free meal in its cafe when an adult spends £4.50 or more. This is an ongoing offer, so you can make the most of it outside of half-term too, and this offer is available after 3pm.
Another ongoing offer is Asda cafe which is also offering a free meal to children. Adults need to spend £4 or more and the offer is available Monday to Friday after 3pm.
Garden centre chain Dobbies is offering kids to eat for free with an adult main meal. The deal includes the kid’s lunch menu or pick ‘n’ mix deal and a drink. The deal is available from 12pm daily.
Marks and Spencer cafe
Beginning on Wednesday, May, 25 and running until Friday, June, 3 children can eat for free at Marks and Spencer cafes when adults spend £5 or more. The children get a free kids meal which includes a main, a side, a drink, and a piece of fruit.
From Monday, May, 30, to Friday, June, 3 children eat for free in Tesco cafes with any item purchased in the cafe. The deal is a sandwich, drink, fruit, and two snacks for children per any transaction by an adult in the cafe. You will need a Tesco Clubcard to claim this deal.
Every day during the school holidays Hungry Horse is offering a free child’s breakfast with every paying adult. Breakfast is served until 12pm.
Brewers Fayre is also offering a free child’s breakfast for up to two children per every paying adult. Breakfast is served until 10.30 in the week and 11am at the weekend.
The Italian chain Bella Italia is offering for children to eat for £1 during half term. From Monday, May, 30 to Sunday, June, 12 children eat for £1 with the purchase of every adult main. The deal is available daily from 12pm.
Cafe Rouge says children can eat for £1. The offer is running from Monday, May, 30 to Friday, June, 3 and kids eat for £1 with every adult main meal.
Pub chain Sizzling Pubs is offering children’s meals for £1 with every adult meal. The deal runs from Monday to Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
From Monday, May, 30 to Friday, June, 3 Farmhouse Inns is offering up to two children eating for a £1 with every paying adult. This deal includes a small breakfast, any kid’s meal, and a junior carvery.
