Portmeirion is one of Wales’ most picturesque villages and its beauty is known the world over
The one thing that is constant is change, but when it comes to one of Wales’ most popular tourist villages Portmeirion it’s a place where the overall beauty has never changed and it’s doubtful it ever will.
The picturesque town on the estuary of the River Dwyryd is full to the brim of classic beauty and charm that makes it one of the must-see places in Wales.
The town that was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 is probably most famous for being The Village in the ’60s show The Prisoner.
It has also been seen in Danger Man and the 1976 Doctor Who serial – The Masque of Mandragora which was set in Renaissance Italy.
