A dangerous motorbike rider ditched bike in order to flee from police.
Greater Manchester Police officers approached a man on his bike in Hindley Green yesterday, having spotted him “weaving in and out of traffic in a dangerous manner”.
Upon the police intervention, the rider initially attempted to flee on his bike, but stalled the vehicle several times before deciding to ditch it and escape on foot.
The police have now seized the vehicle and it will be scrapped.
A GMP spokesperson said: “This bike was recovered and seized yesterday in Hindley Green after it was seen weaving in and out of traffic in a dangerous manner.
“Unfortunately for the rider, when police approached, he stalled multiple times and had to leave his bike behind to run off with his tail between his legs.
“Seized under s.165 and will be scrapped.”
