
A group of Bolton-based volunteers who work to help the homeless have given thanks to a generous resident who gave them new hand tools.
Bolton Community Kitchen were in need of new tools after some of their previous set was stolen in a recent break-in.
Unfortunately, the organisation did not catch the name of the person who donated the equipment – and hope they will come forward so the group can thank them properly.
A statement from Bolton Community Kitchen said: “Bolton Community kitchen’s allotment would like to thank whoever dropped off a bag of new hand tools sorry but the lad on site forgot to take your name
“We were just saying the other day that we need some hand tools due to ours were stolen when we go broken into.
“Thank you so much.”
The organisation is a non-profit group of volunteers which hands out food and clothes to the homeless, vulnerable and elderly people of Bolton.
As such it depends on donations and voluntary work from generous members of the community.
The groups runs community events to provide food for people in need at Bolton Rugby Club on Avenue Street every Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and every Friday from 12pm to 2pm.
